Thompson’s Plumbing is a plumbing company that started in 2007 by Shawn Thompson. Over the last 14 years, the business has grown steadily providing quality plumbing services throughout the Northern and Southern suburbs, Boland, Cape Town CBD and the Atlantic seaboard areas as well as the greater Western Cape region.
Our customer base is extensive with our services being contracted by Western Cape Government, local municipalities, construction and industrial companies, property management, sales and rental agencies, as well as private residential customers.
In March 2015, the business was sold to the new ownership of Brandon Fyfe, who served under Shawn Thompson since 2009. The daily operations are managed by Brandon and he is the company’s contact person, together with the assistance of the office manager. One expected the company to have a downturn with new ownership, however, the opposite has occurred. Due to the workload and long-term customer relationships, additional resources had to be employed to meet the demand, resulting in continuous growth. We are proud of our history and continue to look forward to the future.

– LEAK DETECTION
The purpose of leak detection is to pinpoint the source of the leak, minimising the resultant damages.
– RENOVATIONS
From bathrooms to kitchens to household renovations, any plumbing alterations that are needed, we can assist.
– DESIGN RENDERING
The process of creating an image of a proposed renovation or plan according to the client’s requirements, giving a realistic look before your renovation begins.
– PIPE FREEZING
When you cannot locate a stop tap for a line that requires attention we can freeze a range of different pipes from 15-65mm in size.
– ALL ASPECTS OF GEYSERS
Burst geyser replacements, relocations, upgrades to SANS compliance, maintenance and new installations.
– CIVILS & HIGH PRESSURE PIPE WORK
New installations and repairs to burst or damaged high pressure water supply lines ranging from 50-300mm in size.
– GENERAL PLUMBING MAINTENANCE
For all your day-to-day plumbing services, i.e., a dripping tap, toilet not flushing or a blocked kitchen sink.
– PROFESSIONAL DRAIN CLEANING & CAMERA INSPECTIONS
We offer conventional methods, if they fail, we have the following specialized services available: high-pressure jetting, rotor machine and camera inspections.
– CONSTRUCTION & INDUSTRIAL PLUMBING
We have been working on construction and industrial sites for over 12 years gaining all the necessary experience needed.
– CERTIFICATES OF COMPLIANCE
For the transfer of ownership & geyser installations at a property a plumbing certificate of compliance is required according to the current SANS by-law.
– 24-HOUR EMERGENCY PLUMBING
We have a standby team ready to assist with any after-hours plumbing emergencies. The office line will be diverted to the relevant assistance.

Qualifications
We are qualified and registered plumbers with the City of Cape Town, reg. no. 678, and other plumbing regulatory boards. Our staff are fully competent and are always assisted when needing further advice.
