Set in the Karoo, within the reserve, this 14 bedded lodge is situated along the tree line of a riverbed and protected by the surrounding mountains. The lodge is an eclectic celebration of the romance of Colonial Africa Lodge with a modern twist, and stylishly enhanced by the brilliance of chandeliers and silver. Elements of the traditional Lowveld lodge is evident in the viewing and pool decks and dinner boma, the detailing of which showcases the natural rock materials from the Karoo. Balinesian accents play off against Central African dome elements found in original African tribal dwellings. The Island-style lodgings are unexpected and complement the tree-line along which they are situated. The gardens are Karoo gardens.
