    I think useless is an understatement! I ordered on the 11th, delivery due on the 13th. The status on the order has been packed since the 13th. I phone daily, every time the response is that it will be delivered that day. Yet, I still haven’t received my order. Yesterday I phoned and demanded a refund, which the operator said would be escalated. Then I received an email stating that the refund couldn’t be processed as the parcel was already handed to the courier. No waybill details or update on the status of the package. I am utterly frustrated!

    I want to lodge a complaint. Pinky from Makro contacted me on Tiktok and told me she is working for makro and she is selling cellphones. She has been convincing me to buy for 3 months from june this year and when i finally agreed to meet her at Makro Germiston,Pinky and Florence started attacking me racially telling met they do not sell cellphones to colored people because we are criminals and my company documents ar fraudulent.
    I asked for management so that i can address this issue.they laughed at me and told me the that they run makro and they are the management. I want management to know this and i am also taking this to the media and social media.
    i want all colored people to know that Makro does not like colored people and we are considered criminals according to PInky and Florence from Makro Germiston.I am also going to lay criminal charges against Makro ,Pinky and Florence because it is a crime to discriminate in this country

      This Makro is messed up, no customer service, I place an order, the deliver, not everything in package, I send an email, they don’t reply, just log a return, no I wait, eventually a refund will be processed, and I wait, call me 0832994542,process refund

    Makro are beyond useless!
    Their online website says 2 days for delivery. I have placed two orders, a month apart from each other. Both were a bugger up.
    1. First one ordered on a Tueday. 2 days for delivery means THURSDAY!!! I got a message on Friday saying delivery will be done on Saturday. Nothing was delivered.! On sunday 7:30 the delivery driver phones to say he is at the gate. I was not at home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    2. The second order was placed on a Thursday. Therefor delivery should be on SATURDAY.
    On Sunday I got a message to say delivery will be done on Monday.
    On Monday I got a message to say it will be delivered on TUESDAY.
    Later Monday I got a message to say “Failed Delivery”, when in fact there was NO DELIVERY.
    On Tuesday only PART of the order was delivered.
    On Wednesday the other “part” was delivered.
    On Wednesday I got a whatspapp message from an unknown number with a picture of my gate, No message, no text, no nothing, just a picture from an unknown number.
    Upon enquiring the response I got was “Okay”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I phoned the person again this morning, he mentioned that he had ANOTHER PART for delivery. Now he was going to take it back to Makro.
    ALSO, the DELIVERY company does not seem to be Makro. It appears to be outsourced and they don’t care and Makro doesnt care.
    It’s been a month between orders and it is still a complete an utter …..
    Makro, you have a 100% failure rate so far, what do you think the chances are that I will use your online shopping cart again???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

    Do not buy from Marko.

    I placed my order on 15 August 2024. On 21 August when my order was suppose to be delivered i called in to ask. The consultant then notified me that the order was canceled and they will log refund. after numerous emails and phoning in and not getting any response.

    Today is 3 September and I have still not received my refund. Not getting any response via email and the manager of the call centre is conveniently always not available.

    This is not customer service people. This is ripping people off. Scam.

    Makro Debtors Account

    Some queries is long overdue. Not being sorted out. We still waiting for credit notes. I have asked numerous time for a customer detail ledger – not finding the credit notes. Unfortunately the debtor person that is our dedicated person does not even respond or try to explain problems to us. The Makro Online is according to me a huge mess.

    This also have an impact on our buying limit. They reserve the “credit limit” very quickly but the credit notes and clearing of pending invoices is a mess. One thing I also do not understand there is so many debit and credits on our account.

    Huge frustration

    Do not know if the services will improve. I just hope so.

    You just have one debtors account, but then you have to talk to the online department. Just do not know why the debtors person can sort this out within Makro itself. On the statement there is one contact person of Makro WITH NO CONTACT DETAILS. Our contact details reflect on the statement.

    HUGE FRUSTRATION to struggle with this.

    Dear Makro Customer Service,

    I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I have received from Makro Online. My recent experience has been extremely disappointing and frustrating.

    Firstly, the behaviour of your supervisor was unacceptably rude. Instead of apologizing for the errors, they placed the blame on me. This is not the level of customer service I expect from a reputable company.

    My order was divided into two parts. While the first part was delivered, the second part was inexplicably cancelled without my consent. To make matters worse, I was not contacted about this cancellation. There has been a complete lack of communication from your end, forcing me to call multiple times to inquire about the status of my orders.

    I am appalled by this treatment and the lack of professionalism displayed by your staff. It is concerning to experience such poor customer service and to feel disregarded as a customer. This situation has caused me significant inconvenience and frustration.

    I have set a deadline for my order to be delivered today. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate this matter further.

    I strongly advise others against placing orders online with Makro South Africa based on my experience.

      We also have a problem with the Makro online department. Our Mak numbers that we receive differs from the statements MAK numbers. As well as we do wait so long for credit notes. We still have a pending invoice as from January 2024. Just do not know if our queries will be properly sorted out. It is a nightmare.

    they have a 6 month warenty n the product dies after 6 month n 19 days

    Now they tell me to talk to their supplier.

    Online Shopping @Makro,

    Place an order on 22nd Jun bought grocer plus 32″ ECCO TV + TV Licence. My order was divided into 2 parts, 1st part was delivered on 24th then after, when i went back to check on the progress of part 2 it was cancelled. They cancel my order without my concern, they never contacted me till I involved Hello Peter. Now they come up with stories saying the unit it out of stock, they also expect me to cancel my TV Licence with SABC that TV it still advertised on you online app for about R4 199 but your team come up with the story saying it out of stock.

    I am going to take this to the next step by expose Makro as the whole for scamming vulnerable customers. I wonder if Jonathan knows what is happening under his nose

    I have been deeply distressed and disappointed by the immense lack of service delivery.

    I am leaving abroad in a few weeks. I made a purchase for a luggage set. After 2 weeks of phoning and being told the issue will be escalated, I was told that there was an “issue with the supplier”. Thereafter, I purchased a different luggage set and spent the next month phoning almost everyday to be refunded. I have constantly been told that the issue is going to be escalated, thereafter I was told that the item was cancelled, thereafter I was told that someone needed to approve the refund. It has been one month later and I have still not received my refund for the initial purchase of the luggage. And after not receiving my second purchase after 2 weeks have been going through the same issue. Since purchasing my second purchase, I was only told on Friday that the item has been cancelled so judging by the first order, I am expecting to only receive that refund after a month with constant follow ups throughout the next couple of weeks.

    I have had to purchase a third luggage set from a different supplier who have delivered my luggage in a timely manner with no issues at all.

    I please request that my second purchase can be followed up and a refund to take place as soon as possible please. This has been a very expensive, exhausting and frustrating experience.

    I am still waiting the 2-10 working days for the first purchase to be refunded. Please can someone assist me to be refunded for the second purchase please, the reference number is: MAK6845395

    I am writing this email to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the experience I had with Makro. I believe it is important to bring this matter to your attention in the hope that it can be resolved promptly and to prevent similar issues from recurring in the future.

    You are taking me for granted. I was told that my order will be delivered today but i never received anything from your store. I am shocked and disappointed with the level of service i received from your store. This issue has had a significant impact on us as family financially because i ended up buying some of the items at the shop because you failed to deliver my order. I believe that as a valued customer, I deserve to receive better treatment and a swift resolution to this matter.

    I have attempted to address this issue by contacting Me Naledi from Online department in Bloemfontein but she was very rude However, the response I received was unsatisfactory, and I feel that my concerns were not adequately addressed.

    I strongly believe that Makro has the potential to provide exceptional service, and I hope that this complain can serve as an opportunity for improvement.

    I kindly request that you thoroughly investigate the matter, take appropriate actions to rectify the issue, and provide me with a suitable resolution because I spent almost R259 to buy some items from the shop.

    I look forward to a timely resolution and a renewed positive experience from Makro. I just wish you could received a public backlash about your services.

    I have been trying to get a refund from Makro since 28th May 2024 when I cancelled my order. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated if I can get my funds returned.

I bought online few items and now my order is being cancelled not due to out of stock but due to price error… according to consumer protection act, Consumers have the right to demand paying the lower price for good displayed. Please make me understand why you handling the matter like this?

    I’ve been waiting for my refund for almost 6 months. I’ve emailed and called a million times. Next step is to sit in the store and refuse to leave until I get paid!

    On 13 January 2024 I purchased from Makro Sandton, Branch for my father a branch new Hisense (65U6K TV, serial number 3TE65F23210PO 1AD8SJ0208) for R9 999-00. when the tv was unpacked I noticed that the screen was faulty in that there was a black dot in the middle of the screen. The tv has a four-year warranty. I reported this to Makro on 22 January 2024 and I was instructed to contact Hisense and ask them to replace the faulty tv with a new replacement. Hisense asked me to email a photo of the default. People from Hisense examined the tv. I have not received a replacement tv instead I was referred to a repair shop. This behavior is deplorable and merits publication. I require a new replacement television set of the same size, quality and technological ULED pixel technology. Hisense warranty booklet reads “Once Promised, Forever Honoured-Hisense TV Warranty”. I require a new replacement tv. Hisense referred me back to Makro. I have been sent from pillar to post i.e. Makro, Hisense and Repair shop and endured numerous visits, telephone calls and text messages from a TV Repair Shop. Consumers of Makro Sandton and Hisense be aware!

    Disgusting service – makes the current south african government service delivery look good

    Placed an order on FRiday and was notified that delivery will be in +- 2 days

    Sunday – get a sms that they on the way to deliver the items – this was at 09.50

    At 13.30 – called the driver and he says he is on his way, at 15.30 – i receive an email saying he cancelled at my request at 13.20

    Logged a query on whatsapp, and hellopeter – except for auto response, no assistance whatsoever – false promises by one, but no call. Got an sms at 11.50 they will deliver- again driver calls after 15.00 – asking if i still want him to deliver – Beware – MAKRO IS NO LONGER ABLE TO DO CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT PURCHASE
