Self Defence Training in both Wing Chun and Krav Maga.
Wing Chun is a Chinese martial art known for its close-range combat techniques and efficient use of energy. It emphasizes simultaneous defense and attack, redirecting an opponent’s force rather than meeting it head-on. Wing Chun techniques focus on close-quarters combat, quick punches, and trapping techniques, making it effective in confined spaces.
Wing Chun’s principles are based on efficiency, economy of motion, and sensitivity to an opponent’s movements. It teaches practitioners to maintain a strong centerline, use rapid and direct strikes, and develop sensitivity through chi sau (sticky hands) training. Wing Chun’s defensive techniques aim to neutralize an attacker’s force while delivering quick and powerful counterattacks.
Krav Maga is a self-defence system developed in Israel, primarily for military and law enforcement personnel. It combines techniques from various martial arts, focusing on practical and instinctive movements to neutralize threats quickly. Krav Maga techniques include strikes, kicks, knee strikes, elbows, and defence against common attacks like grabs, chokes, and armed assaults.
Krav Maga emphasizes real-world scenarios and a mindset of aggression and determination. It trains practitioners to react quickly and decisively, targeting an attacker’s vulnerable points to disable or incapacitate them. Krav Maga also includes training in situational awareness, de-escalation techniques, and defences against multiple attackers or armed assailants.
